LIFE Moor Space – Peatland Conference – Lowland Peat
The LIFE Moor Space project team are holding a UK conference on Lowland Peat and the challenges faced in undertaking restoration.
Delivered by Natural England and Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust, the conference will be split into two days.
The first day will be held at the Legacy Centre in Doncaster and include key note speakers and workshops.
Key notes speakers will include Fred Worrall, Durham University, the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), and Tammy Smalley Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust.
Workshops will focus on what practical works UK projects are undertaking for peatland restoration, success, challenges and innovation. Feedback from workshops will be collated and presented by LIFE Moor Space to the Action for European Peatlands conference in Berlin the following week.
The second day will have two site visits available for attendees to book onto, both taking place on the Humberhead Peatlands National Nature Reserve.
